Take measurements of Length and Girth of your fish. Grab a towel big enough that's going to be able to cover the entire fish. Soak the towel in water and squeeze and water out of the towel so that way it has a damp feeling to it. Last thing to do is wrap the fish very carefully and the most important part is to not let the fins bend in any odd ways which only damages the fins. (VERY IMPORTANT). Lastly put the fish in the freezer until ready to take in to get mounted.

1. Field Dress ASAP. It's important to field dress your trophy as soon as it's down. 
2. Carefully Pack Out Your Animal. Make sure to pack out your trophy carefully.
3. Quickly Cool Your Harvest. The sooner you can cool your deer, the better.
